About Me
- Name: Mary
Sometimes I paint watercolors near the salt-water estuary near my home, known as Black’s Creek. I am interested in the changes that take place over the period of a year--growth, weather, light and impressions of movement on and in the water. My subject matter has been the tidal creek and banks, the bordering woodlands and on the grassy tidal bog and upland fields. I’m interested in both seasonal changes and in different times of day. Sometimes I paint and photograph when I travel. These smaller paintings are done as sketches for larger work, but often enough end up standing on their own.
